The introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018 is fast approaching. If your research involves working with people or data about them, then this new framework for legal and ethical obligations applies to you. Don’t delay getting up to speed with what it means for you and your research.
The UK Data Service will run a hands-on workshop on 4th May 2018 on best practices for managing and publishing research data resulting from research with participants, which will pay special attention to implications of the GDPR.
The workshop will be held at the University of Essex and is suitable for researchers of all levels of expertise. Costs are £30 for UK registered students and £60 for staff.
Visit the programme and booking page for “Managing and sharing research data: What is new with the GDPR?” to find out more about the workshop, pre-requisites and how to sign up.
