EPSRC/RCUK research data policy discussion with Q&A

Friday 29 January 2016

Unfortunately, the EPSRC research data policy discussion has been cancelled because of unforeseen circumstances. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Join us for this event in Lecture Theatre B in the Purdie (Chemistry) Building from 2-4pm on Wednesday, 3rd Feb 2016.
Ben Ryan from EPSRC will be visiting St Andrews on 3 February to discuss the EPSRC research data policy. This event will be of particular interest to current and prospective EPSRC-funded researchers and PGR students.
The policy was implemented on 1 May 2015 with the main expectation for data underpinning publications to be made openly available and reusable for at least 10 years after publication. The full policy can be found on the EPSRC webpages.
Ben has been heavily involved in the development and implementation of the policy and will give a short presentation followed by an extended Q&A session. There will also be a chance to see how to upload datasets into Pure and how these appear when published on the new St Andrews Research Portal.
Although this event is primarily addressing the EPSRC research data policy, Ben will be happy to also discuss any questions on the RCUK’s common principles on data policy, which are the basis of the policies for all seven Research Councils.
